We couldn’t resist posting up this dnb Dj mix from Wellington up ‘n’ comers ‘Rowzy’ & ‘Dunk’. Although fresh to the Wellington club circuit, they are no strangers to many Wellington dnb fans. This would be due to all the house parties they’ve rocked into the wee hours. Both lads entered the most recent NZ dnb mixing competition ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ and both did very well, noticeably ‘Rowzy’ who made it through to final. Dunk has been steadily lending his hand to production over the last few years, making dnb & downbeat. We think he has a bright future, check his myspace below for a taste.

Empathy Recordings is proud to present the sixth in our series of digital breakbeat releases focusing on up and coming new talent from across the world.
Chaotic Pulse is a talented young drum n bass producer from Lyon, France. After doing his time in a diverse range of live bands, he made the transition to live techno, idm and drum and bass. He blends his taste for dark drum n bass with diverse musical influences ranging from horror movie soundtracks to metal. Slydtek, also from Lyon, is a young producer fast making a name for him self in the French dance scene. He adds more of a techno feel to the collaboration, being heavily influenced by the Detroit sounds of Jeff Mills and Carl Cox. Guidance drops in with a sci fi intro that could have been taken straight of the opening sequence to an alien invasion film. The track flows into a classic neurofunk bass workout with frantic breakbeats and a driving energy that cant be denied.
On remix duties are fellow French producers The Phat RiderZ. With a handful of releases under their belt, The Phat RiderZ are making a serious mark in the electro breaks world, they add their massive weight to the track with a heavyweight remix complete with their signature driving breaks and a growling dubstep breakdown designed to put pressure on any club PA.
